Scratch
STEP 1 - Getting started
1. Watch this video about computer coding (programming)
2. Try drag-and-drop coding:
- Activity 1 (Angry Bird & Plants vs. Zombies)
- Activity 2 (Flappy Bird)
Now on to Scratch!
1. Go to the Scratch website. Click on EXPLORE and try out some projects.
2. Click on JOIN SCRATCH and create an account. (** you can use your student email if you don't have a personal email. Ask a teacher for help.)
3. Click on the CREATE tab. Follow the instructions in "Getting Started with Scratch" to make your first project.
4. Watch these VIDEOS and add some moves to your project
5. Choose a few STARTER PROJECTS and experiment with some changes. Click REMIX to save your work in your account.
STEP 2 - Ready for a challenge?
1. Explore the Scratch website and find something that inspires you (start simple at first!). Check out their code and experiment. Remix it to make it your own.
2. Try making your own unique project. Work with other students in tech club and use Youtube and Google to help you overcome problems.
